Tungsten market prices oscillated upward
After the domestic tungsten market experienced price declines and destocking in the past three years, the destocking effect showed, tungsten demand recovered significantly, tungsten raw material supply tightened, market prices oscillated upwards and gradually returned to rationality. In June 2017, there was a slight shock. In September 2017, the tungsten concentrate quickly rose. The monthly average price was RMB 113,700/ton, which was a year-on-year increase of 68.20%, a month-on-month increase of 13.93%, and a return of RMB 100,000/ton or more. It was the month of 2017. The high average price is also the highest monthly average price since April 2014. Tungsten concentrate prices have generally stabilized, and the rationality has risen back to the mining cost line. According to statistical data from the China Tungsten Association, the annual average price of domestic tungsten concentrates was RMB 90,100/t in 2017, up 31.15% year-on-year, and the average annual price of APT was RMB 138,800/t, up 30.30% year-on-year.
