Kenya's titanium exports fell by 18.7% in the third quarter of 2017


According to the latest statistics from Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), in the third quarter of 2017, Kenya’s titanium exports fell by 18.7% year-on-year to 2.6 billion shillings (about US$25.15 million), which was the first decline since exports began in 2014.

At present, China is its most important export destination. In the first nine months of 2017, titanium export revenue reached 9.7 billion Kenyan shillings (about 93.81 million US dollars), becoming the most important minerals in Kenya, followed by gold, soda ash and so on.
