Recently, an explosion occurred in TIMET due to the worker pouring liquid magnesium into the undried mold. It is understood that the explosion had a huge noise, but fortunately, only two people were slightly injured, and there is no major damage. It is reported that in December last year, the United States PCC under the jurisdiction of the United States in Irvine Bay, Rollmet plant also suffered a similar casualties.

On the day after the TIMET explosion, the Henderson plant received a mandatory closure order requiring safety-focused re-investigation and evaluation of the company's production operations. It is not yet certain whether the plant will be shut down completely or not yet, but we know that the longer the plant is shut down, the harder it is to restart.
